Most foundations invest enormous care in defining their mission and designing the impact of their grants. Far fewer have examined whether their endowment investments truly reinforce that mission or unintentionally work against it. This session is designed to help you begin that exploration. Together, we will:
- Reconnect your foundation’s mission and grantmaking priorities with the investments that support them or work against them;
- Reveal where misalignment often hides inside diversified portfolios and common mutual funds;
- Introduce a few practical tools that help foundations see what they actually own; and
- Help you return to your board with the confidence to propose exploring mission-aligned investing.
You don’t need to arrive with answers. The goal of this session is to equip you to take the first step and begin the conversation.
