Dr. Laquita Blockson serves as the Founding Faculty Director of the Social Innovation Graduate Program (and Associate Professor of Business Management) at Agnes Scott College. Bringing over 20 years of experience in social entrepreneurship and university teaching to Agnes Scott, Laquita holds bachelor's and master’s degrees in business administration from Florida A&M University and a Ph.D. in management from the University of Pittsburgh. Her academic expertise includes not-for-profit entrepreneurship, gender and entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial ethics. Recently, Dr. Blockson served as a Research Fellow with Rutgers Business School’s Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. She has also shared her expertise abroad as a visiting professor in China at Shenzhen University and in New Zealand at the University of Otago.
