AWBI’s vision is to catalyze the collective resources of metropolitan Atlanta to fully engage and leverage the undiscerned potential of thousands of individuals and families living in our community’s historically marginalized neighborhoods to build a pathway from poverty and to the American dream for those for who the dream has been deferred for too long and for the ultimate benefit and wellbeing of our entire community.

AWBI will: a)serve as a ‘node of innovation’ fostering the coordination and expansion of economic opportunity and wealth building through a network of green, community-based enterprises in communities of color; (b) encourage community stabilization and revitalization of the disinvested neighborhoods in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area; (c) promote public understanding of community wealth building models; (d) advocate and partner with cities and other areas throughout Georgia and the United States to implement their own local programs based on community wealth building principles, models, and strategies.
